Your wedding day is a special time, and naturally you will want everything to be just as perfect as it can possibly be. Whalers has everything you need to ensure you have a fabulous day.
For a delightful outdoor ceremony we recommend the Bluff breakwater or beach in front of the restaurant, overlooking Encounter Bay in all its natural beauty.
There are many more options to choose from, including the deck area, restaurant and any of several function rooms. All are excellent choices for hosting a wedding ceremony or reception.
Whalers provides three fully equipped conference rooms which can cater for any sized conference from intimate groups of 10 or less all the way up to larger groups of 130 people. Each room offers an abundance of natural light and panoramic ocean views to create an environment to inspire and facilitate the success of your meeting.
In addition, Whalers delivers an experience with great emphasis on unique and delicious cuisine designed to complement your conference.
The largest of our three conference rooms, Investigator is named after the ship commanded by Matthew Flinders during his exploration of Encounter Bay. Fittingly, the room commands majestic views of the Bay with which to inspire your delegates to new discoveries.
With over 127m2 of floor space, Investigator is capable of hosting groups up to 130 people depending on seating arrangements and selected options.
Additional features of this room include a private balcony, bar area, and dance floor.
The Flinders room provides 65m2 of floor space and is ideal for medium sized conferences and training sessions.
The maximum seating capacity is 55 persons, depending on seating arrangements and selected options. The room also provides a balcony area and awe-inspiring views of Encounter Bay.
The Baudin room is the smallest we have, providing floor space of just over 25m2. As such, it is most suited for meetings and training sessions involving small groups of up to 10 persons.
While the room may be small in size it is still big in features, with large panoramic windows and access to all the same audio-visual facilities and catering options available in the larger rooms.
